Rtveli is a traditional Georgian festival celebrating the grape harvest with lively feasts, music, and dancing. The festivities last for several days, going on until all the grapes are harvested.
Come be part of the celebration — spend a day in authentic vineyards, pick fresh grapes, and take part in the winemaking tradition at the winery.
Let’s dive into the world of winemaking and experience every step of this amazing process. Here, you’ll discover some of the secrets of Georgian wine craftsmanship.
We will celebrate Rtveli at one of the most aesthetic wineries in Kakheti region — and perhaps even in the world — Nekresi Estate. Every corner of this place impresses, from the well-tended vineyards framed by the Caucasus Mountains to the stylish tasting rooms and spacious terraces.
Kick off Rtveli with a refreshing glass of chilled local sparkling wine and some tasty light bites to get things going.
For a comfortable harvest, we’ve got everything covered — straw hats, aprons, and SPF sunblock!
Armed with pruning shears, we head out to pick the juiciest, ripest grapes into woven baskets.
Let’s bring our harvest to the satsnakheli, the old-fashioned wine press, and stomp the grapes barefoot to music and dance, with the beautiful Alazani Valley as our backdrop.
After harvesting, join a Georgian cooking class to learn the secrets of making khinkali and enjoy your delicious creations fresh at the table!
Not up for the cooking class? No problem! Take a walk through the vineyards, capture amazing photos of the Alazani Valley, or relax in the cool shade.
After a day packed with amazing experiences, enjoy a tasty traditional Georgian lunch. Fresh, flavorful, and aromatic — all served at a beautiful table right in the vineyards with breathtaking mountain views and wine to match!
